Abstract

Vaccines save lives. As a safe and cost-effective public health intervention, vaccines have contributed greatly to lessen the burden of infectious diseases in both developing and developed countries. According to a recent estimate (CDC 2023) 4 million deaths are prevented by childhood vaccination every year1.
